I am a Namibian woman working as the Acting Associate Dean of the School of Computing and the Acting Head of Department of Information Systems at the University of Namibia. I have been at UNAM since 1996, where I first registered for a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Physics, and was employed as a Staff Development Fellow soon after completion of my studies. I then did post graduate studies with Rhodes University in South Africa.
I am very excited about this International Software Engineering Course, which was mainly an idea from Prof. Manfred Meyer. I know that he was wanted to implement this course jointly with UNAM since 2013, but it was not possible to do that at a time. I am looking forward to the final products of the course, and I do trust that it will be a learning experience for all our students at the two institutions.
